Where’s Rubio?
Blanca Rubio has represented District 48 in the California Assembly since 2016. So why are her constituents questioning her whereabouts when it matters most?
Where was Rubio in 2020 as COVID-19 was surging in the San Gabriel Valley? She was spending campaign dollars to meet with lobbyists in Maui.
Where was Rubio when California legislators started taking climate change seriously? She was voting against sensible legislation designed to move the state into a cleaner future and, according to the Sierra Club, taking more than $100K from the oil and gas industry.
Where is Rubio when it comes to holding big business accountable? She refuses to do so, skipping votes time and again on topics like fast food workers’ wages and business-related climate legislation.
Where does Rubio stand on workers’ right to leave the workplace during an emergency? Who knows? She missed that assembly vote, too.
Where has Rubio been when District 48’s small businesses needed help the most? She was busy writing about the plight of California’s millionaires and billionaires.
Where has Rubio’s political support gone? She has supported, endorsed and financed Republican candidates, including those who vote to “out” transgender students.
Where has Rubio been in the fight for teachers and other workers in District 48? Once again, she has been missing in action.
And who bought blanca?
Just this year Blanca Rubio has taken money from many of the most harmful corporations in our state, from big oil to big business. Click here for a full list of her donors.
